Housing and Floating Support
At Hull & East Yorkshire Mind we believe a safe and pleasant home environment must surely be one of the most basic of needs.
Our Housing and Floating Support services respond to the housing-related needs of our service users with the aim of promoting improved life skills and greater independence.
Hull and East Yorkshire Mind’s Housing and Floating Support Services consist of The Housing Team, Hull Floating Support, East Riding Floating Support Dual Diagnosis and the Bridlington Hostel team. All the properties offer modern facilities and comfortable accommodation.
Support ranges from lower level ‘minimum’ support in hostels, to higher level Floating Support. Service users are supported, with work focussing on money management, social inclusion, domestic skills, personal/family relationships, education and training.
Support goals are worked towards jointly, and reviewed on a regular basis. Increased access to local amenities and support to pursue education and/or employment opportunities are included in a service user’s individual Support Plans.
Referrals are made directly to the Housing team via many agencies including Community Mental Health Teams, Social Service and GP’s.
